dc.description.abstractThe research, reported in this paper, aims to assess the process of career choices, its influence on the job satisfaction and check if there is any interference in career development. The research is qualitative and quantitative nature and is classified as descriptive. The sample was consisted of 20 students regularly enrolled in the MBA course specifically Business Management and the participants were selected using the accessibility criteria. The instrument for data collection was a semi-structured interview consisting of 10 questions. The data were processed by frequency and categorized by content analysis. Respondents are 75% male and 25% female; the predominant age ranges from 25 to 35 years. The graduation course is management followed by the engineering course. The main categories indicated that career choice was done after working in the area and identification with the profession after a technical course, and this choice was soon after high school. The main influence for the careeŕs choice has been educational. The vast majority is satisfied with their career choice and work in the area of graduation.
