dc.description.abstractThis research has as its main axis the Green Logistics, supported by environmental sustainability. As the general objective analysis of the main variables of management and sustainable development that can direct the activities of Green Logistics as a strategic tool in decision making for the use of road transport. Its specific objectives are the identification and categorization of the main variables of management and sustainable development of Green Logistics arising from road transport; diagnosis and analysis of the tangible and intangible variables Green Logistics; and the analysis and discussion of the variables of Green Logistics in road transport as a tool in decision making. We conducted a bibliographic and documentary research with exploratory objective and qualitative approach, which allowed reporting data analysis and articles published by associations, ministries and institutes. The analysis of data on the main variables of Green Logistics in road transport, such as Energy Efficiency, Gas Emissions, Increase Traffic Volume, Air Pollution Control, among others, have shown that the set of variables that can target activities of Green Logistics in decision making in road transport improves the company's relationship with its audience by 70%, promotes a financial return of 60% investment, reduces fuel expenses by 60%, increases the efficiency of the supply chain 55%, and reduces the risks of transport by 50%. ©2017.
