The civil construction sector has experienced constant changes due to economic globalization, the development of new technologies, the increased competition, among others. This sector requires lot of workforce and their workers are often recruited from other states, and they are housed in precarious accommodations, away from family, and they still work in subhuman conditions while the work is running, with no guarantee of continuity in employment, which can affect health and their performance. In this context, assess the Quality of Work Life - QWL can assist managers to implement measures to improve the satisfaction of employees with regard to work. This study presents an exploratory, descriptive research with quantitative approach, performed by Job Diagnostic Survey - JDS, with 112 workers of the Brazilian civil construction sector. The objective is to evaluate the level of satisfaction with the work of architects, engineers and workers, comparing their results and contribute to the discussion about QWL in the sector. It was verified that the variable satisfaction with the Safety at Work achieved lower average score, indicating little worker satisfaction with aspects such as job security, working hours, physical environment, work risk and safety.en
