Práticas integrativas e complementares em saúde : redução da dor em pacientes com fibromialgia

Abstract

Resumo: Introdução: A fibromialgia é uma síndrome reumática de etiologia desconhecida, caracterizada por dor musculoesquelética difusa e crônica e por sítios anatômicos específicos dolorosos à palpação, os tender points, sendo frequentemente associados à fadiga, à rigidez e aos distúrbios do sono. A dor nos portadores da Síndrome da Fibromialgia muito intensa e seu tratamento traz consequências na vida cotidiana desses pacientes, para tratar esta dor usa-se diversas terapêuticas e uma gama grande de profissionais envolvidos na busca da resolubilidade dessa sintomatologia. Objetivos: Identificar por meio da literatura trabalhos de Toque Terapêutico e de Fotobiomodulação e ou LASER de baixa intensidade para o alívio da dor crônica em portadores de fibromialgia. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa com o enfoque exploratório. A busca dos artigos se deu nas bases de dados da Biblioteca Virtual da Saúde (BVS), de 2001 a 2019, e foi realizada por meio das palavras-chave "Enfermagem", "Medicina integrativa", "Terapia com luz de baixa intensidade", "Terapias Complementares" e "Toque Terapêutico". Foram encontrados 4.036 artigos, dos quais foram organizados em quadro matriz e síntese, e após análise foram selecionados vinte e quatro artigos, dos quais apenas sete foram utilizados. Resultado e discussão: Conforme exposto nos Quadros 2 e 3, observa-se que tanto a Fotobiomodulação quanto o Toque Terapêutico, têm resultados positivos no tratamento complementar de portadores de fibromialgia apesar de haver poucos estudos a respeito da real eficácia de ambas as práticas aplicadas. Conclusão: Sabendo-se que os portadores da SFM são acometidos por dor crônica entre outros agravos, pode-se observar que ambas as práticas aqui estudadas, foram eficazes na redução da dor e na melhora da qualidade de vida dos mesmos.

Abstract: Introduction: Fibromyalgia is a rheumatic syndrome of unknown etiology, characterized by diffuse and chronic musculoskeletal pain and specific anatomical sites painful on palpation, tender points, which are often associated with fatigue, stiffness and sleep disorders. The pain in patients with Fibromyalgia Syndrome is very intense and its treatment has consequences in the daily lives of these patients. To treat this pain, several therapies and a wide range of professionals involved in the search for resolving this symptom are used. Objectives: To identify through the literature works of Therapeutic Touch and Photobiomodulation and or LASER of low intensity for the relief of chronic pain in patients with fibromyalgia. Methodology: This is an integrative review with an exploratory focus. The search for the articles took place in the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL), from 2001 to 2019, and was carried out using the keywords "Nursing", "Integrative medicine", "Low intensity light therapy", "Complementary Therapies" and "Therapeutic Touch". 4,036 articles were found, of which they were organized in a matrix and synthesis table, and after analysis twenty-four articles were selected, of which only seven were used. Result and discussion: As shown in Tables 2 and 3, it is observed that both Photobiomodulation and Therapeutic Touch, have positive results in the complementary treatment of fibromyalgia patients, although there are few studies regarding the real effectiveness of both applied practices. Conclusion: Knowing that FMS patients are affected by chronic pain, among other conditions, it can be seen that both practices studied here were effective in reducing pain and improving their quality of life.
