Mulheres e ficção : o drama feminino no Gótico de Júlia Lopes de Almeida

Abstract

Resumo: Esta monografia propõe refletir sobre o lugar das mulheres enquanto produtoras de narrativas de ficção, de modo a analisar como elas se inseriram em um mundo marcado pelo machismo e pela exclusão do feminino. Mais especificamente, o gênero gótico feminino, sendo reconhecido como um viés literário diferente do gótico, foi usado como tema central das pesquisas, tendo os contos de Júlia Lopes de Almeida, autora primária desse gênero no Brasil, como objetos de estudo. As análises e apontamentos foram feitos por meio de pesquisas bibliográficas e estudos teóricos acerca da participação da mulher na ficção, do gênero gótico feminino e da vida e obra de Júlia Lopes de Almeida. O trabalho analisa três contos da autora "As rosas", "Os porcos" e "O caso de Ruth" buscando compreender o papel do feminino dentro dessas narrativas e no núcleo mais geral do gótico feminino brasileiro tendo Almeida como sua principal representante. Como resultado, esta pesquisa expõe uma importante reflexão acerca da posição da mulher no meio literário, tendo Júlia Lopes de Almeida como principal exemplo das situações apontadas.

Abstract: This monograph proposes to reflect on the place of women as producers of fictional narratives, in order to analyze how they were inserted in a world marked by sexism and the exclusion of the feminine. More specifically, the female Gothic gender, being recognized as a literary bias different from the Gothic, was used as a central theme of this research, with the stories of Júlia Lopes de Almeida, primary author of this genre in Brazil, as objects of study. The analyzes and notes were made through bibliographic research and theoretical studies about the participation of women in fiction, the female Gothic gender and the life and work of Júlia Lopes de Almeida. The work analyzes three short stories by the author "As rosas", "Os porcos" and "O case de Ruth", seeking to understand the role of the feminine within these narratives and in the more general core of the Brazilian feminine Gothic with Almeida as its main representative. As a result, this research exposes an important reflection about the position of women in the literary environment, with Júlia Lopes de Almeida as the main example of the situations mentioned.
