Por que o popular não é pop? : reflexão sobre variações linguísticas, preconceito linguístico e ensino de língua

Abstract

Resumo: O tema desta pesquisa são as variações linguísticas e como elas são percebidas na sociedade brasileira. A escolha do tema justifica-se pela necessidade de as pessoas perceberem o preconceito linguístico oriundo da negação das variações lingüísticas e da falta de reconhecimento do papel cultural exercido pelas variações populares da língua. Justifica-se ainda pelo fato de as mídias ajudarem na perpetuação desse preconceito linguístico. Diante disso, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi apresentar o papel das variações linguísticas na cultura nacional e comentar a interpretação sobre variações linguísticas populares feitas por influenciadores da Internet e da Televisão. Para atender a esse objetivo, esta pesquisa buscou embasamento teórico em Castilho (2018), Marchuschi (1996) e Costa (1996), que trazem o conceito de língua, língua falada, língua escrita e variação linguística; em Bagno (1999, 2005, 2017), que traz a definição de preconceito linguístico e apresenta as formas como ele se manifesta, e em Bosi (1992) e Ribeiro (1997), que trazem a explicação da relação língua e cultura brasileira. Como procedimento, elaborou-se, em primeiro lugar, a síntese dos nossos pressupostos teóricos e, em seguida, à luz deles, foi feito o comentário sobre a atuação de uma apresentadora de um canal independente no Youtube e sobre a atuação de jornalistas e especialistas em um programa jornalístico da TV Cultura, ao abordarem o tema variações linguísticas. Como resultado, identificou-se que o dizer de profissionais independentes, jornalistas e especialistas continuam afirmando que Língua Portuguesa abarca apenas a Norma Culta e que, portanto, as variações linguísticas não são legítimas, contrariando, assim, estudos linguísticos que ganharam forte espaço científico desde os anos de 1960, destacando-se os estudos da Sociolinguística. Como conclusão, reafirmamos a importância de fomentar a reflexão sobre a língua, as variações linguísticas e o preconceito linguístico nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa, assim como preconiza a Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BRASIL, 2018) repetindo o que já fazia os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (BRASIL, 1998). E sugerimos, como uma forma de reflexão sobre a língua em sala de aula, a observação crítica sobre a atuação dos formadores de opinião pública, como youtubers, jornalistas e especialistas, que podem ou não estar colaborando para o fortalecimento do preconceito linguístico.

Abstract: The theme of this research are the popular linguistic variations and how they are noticed in the Brazilian society. The choose of this theme justifies itself by the need of the people noticed the linguistic prejudice born from the deny of the linguistics variations, the non-recognition of the cultural role played by the popular variations of the language and the role played by the cult form of the "Brazilian Portuguese". It justifies yet by the fact of the media help to perpetuate this linguistic prejudice. In face of this, the general goal of this research was present the role of the linguistic variations in Brazilian culture and comment the interpretation that information vehicles do with the popular linguistic variation. To attend this goal, this research sought theoretical basis in Castilho (2018), Marcuschi (1996) and Costa (1996), that bring the concept of language, spoken language, written language and linguistic variation; in Bagno (1999, 2005, 2017), that brings the definition of linguistic prejudice and present the ways it manifests; in Bosi (1992) and Ribeiro (1997), that bring the explanation of Brazilian culture. As procedure, it was elaborated, in first place, the syntheses of ours theorical assumptions, and, following it, by the light of the assumptions, it was made a comment about the acting of a host of an independent channel on Youtube and about the acting of the journalists and specialists during a tv program that approached the theme of linguistic variations. As results, it was identify that the journalistic acting and specialized acting, observed in journalistic tv, still affirming that the Portuguese Language embrace only the Cult Form and, therefore, the linguistic variations are not valid, going against the linguistic studies, that earned a very Strong scientific space since the 60's, highlighting the sociolinguistics studies. As conclusion, we reaffirm the importance of foment the reflection about language, the linguistic variations and linguistic prejudice in Portuguese Language classes, as advocates the Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BRASIL, 2018) repeating what the Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (BRASIL, 2018) already did. And we suggest, as a way of reflection about language in classes, the critic observation about the acting of the influencers, such as youtubers, journalists and specialists, that may or may not collaborate to the fortification of linguistic prejudice.
