Lesão cervical não cariosa : uma revisão da literatura

Abstract

Resumo: As lesões cervicais não cariosas estão associadas a perda de tecido dental duro principalmente na região cervical, podendo ocorrer em outras regiões como lingual, interproximal, vestibular e oclusal. Os desgastes dentais tem etiologia multifatorial podem ocorrer por um trauma na escovação, hábitos parafuncionais, trauma na oclusão, erosão, atrição entre outros, podendo levar a um envelhecimento precoce bucal e problemas estéticos e funcionais. A erosão ou desgastes erosivos tem uma alta prevalência nos dias atuais principalmente devido ao estilo de vida das pessoas e causas multifatoriais. A erosão dentária que é a perda esmalte e ou da dentina, irreversível, podendo causar sensibilidade dentinária, e comprometimento da função e estética do elemento dental.

Abstract: Non-carious cervical minors are associated with damage in the cervical region, corresponding to the cementoenamel junction, and may occur in other regions such as lingual (palatine), interproximal, buccal. The cause of this injury is diverse, it can occur due to trauma during brushing, gingivitis, periodontitis, parafunctional habits, trauma to occlusion and even restorations that do not respect the etiological space, discomfort and aesthetic problems may occur, causing premature aging of the oral cavity . What affects us most is dental erosion, which is the irreversible pathological loss of enamel and/or dentin, characterizing the demineralization of the occult tissue that consequently obtains frequent contact with intrinsic and extrinsic acids.
