Violência contra a pessoa idosa no âmbito familiar : uma perspectiva social

Abstract

Resumo: O presente trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar um estudo acerca da violência contra a pessoa idosa, mais especificamente sobre o âmbito familiar. Compreende-se que a temática de violência intrafamiliar contra o idoso é um assunto que carece de muito esclarecimento pois, mesmo sendo do conhecimento de todos, não existem dados sólidos nem estratégias materiais eficazes comprovadamente que atuem diretamente com a questão, como levantado por meio da pesquisa. Por meio de pesquisa bibliográfica, buscou-se aqui compreender quais são as principais formas de violência na qual a população idosa é vítima, tanto na sociedade em geral como no âmbito familiar. Além disso, pretendeu-se realizar um levantamento de possíveis estratégias de intervenção à problemática discutida, pelo âmbito do profissional assistente social em toda e qualquer área de atuação.

Abstract: The present work aims to present a study on violence against the elderly, more specifically about the family environment. It is understood that the theme of interfamily violence against the elderly is a subject that lacks much clarification because, even though it is known to all, there are no solid data or proven effective material strategies that act directly with the question, as raised through the research. Through bibliographic research, we sought here to understand what are the main forms of violence in which the elderly population is a victim both in society in general and in the family sphere. In addition, it was intended to conduct a survey of possible strategies to intervene to the problem discussed, through the scope of the social worker professional in any area of operation.
