Os efeitos adversos da utilização do ácido hialurônico na harmonização orofacial : revisão de literatura

Abstract

Resumo: Atualmente a aparência da face é muito valorizada, sendo que pode afetar na vida pessoal e profissional das pessoas, principalmente, baixando sua autoestima. Ultimamente, houve um aumento expressivo na procura de tratamentos para interromper o processo de envelhecimento, melhorar a harmonia facial, resultando na beleza e rejuvenescimento da face. Assim, os preenchimentos com ácido hialurônico (AH), atualmente, se tornaram o tratamento de escolha para o rejuvenescimento. O objetivo deste trabalho foi de realizar uma revisão de literatura de artigos pesquisados nas bases de dados BVS, Scielo, Medline seguindo os Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) dando ênfase para subsidiar conhecimentos ao cirurgião-dentista com relação aos efeitos adversos, bem como seu tratamento, relacionado à utilização do ácido hialurônico na harmonização orofacial. Concluíu-se que é importante ter profissionais habilitados e capacitados, ou seja, com conhecimento aprofundado das estruturas da anatomia facial, que reconheçam os sinais e sintomas mais frequentes dos efeitos adversos, para desenvolverem diagnósticos mais precisos e estabelecerem com critério o momento adequado para instituir o tratamento; e que a hialuronidase é um medicamento fundamental para os profissionais que realizam a Harmonização Orofacial, sendo um tratamento eficaz e seguro para minimizar os efeitos adversos da aplicação do AH e na reversão de resultados insatisfatórios.

Abstract: Currently, the appearance of the face is highly valued, and it can affect people's personal and professional lives, mainly, lowering their self-esteem. Finally, there was a significant increase in the demand for treatments to interrupt the aging process, improve facial harmony, damage the beauty and rejuvenate the face. Thus, fillings with hyaluronic acid (HA) are currently training for the treatment of choice for rejuvenation. The objective of this work was to carry out a literature review of articles searched in the BVS, Scielo, Medline databases following the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS) emphasizing the support of knowledge to dentists regarding adverse effects, as well. as its treatment, related to the use of hyaluronic acid in orofacial harmonization. It was concluded that it is important to have qualified and trained professionals, that is, with in-depth knowledge of the structures of the facial anatomy, who recognize the most frequent signs and symptoms of adverse effects, to develop more accurate diagnoses and carefully establish the appropriate time to institute the treatment; and that hyaluronidase is a fundamental drug for professionals who perform an Orofacial Harmonization, being an effective and safe treatment to minimize the adverse effects of the application of HA and in the reversal of unsatisfactory results.
