O uso de recursos tecnológicos digitais como suporte nas aulas de inglês no ensino fundamental II

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho relata uma pesquisa sobre o uso das Tecnologias Digitais da Informação e Comunicação (TDICs) como suporte para o professor de língua inglesa em sala de aula no Ensino Fundamental II. A pesquisa foi motivada pela observação da professora pesquisadora das dificuldades encontradas por colegas de trabalho para realizarem atividades com o uso das TDICs. Os objetivos da pesquisa são: identificar as necessidades dos professores de língua inglesa no Município de Resende/RJ em relação às tecnologias disponibilizadas pela rede municipal de ensino (computadores, tablets, lousa digital, pendrive); verificar se o treinamento oferecido pela rede municipal de educação aos professores para utilizar as ferramentas tecnológicas como a internet - as plataformas e os aplicativos educacionais disponíveis - as lousas digitais, computadores, celulares e tablets, dentre outros, foi eficiente ou não; identificar se os docentes usam com frequência os recursos tecnológicos digitais disponibilizados pelo Município de Resende/RJ nas aulas de língua inglesa, e, como isso acontece; sugerir atividades possíveis de serem aplicadas em sala de aula, envolvendo tecnologias como: computadores, tablets, lousa digital, celulares, dentre outras tecnologias. A pesquisa teve como fundamentação teórica estudos sobre as alterações na contemporaneidade em decorrência das tecnologias e as implicações disso para a educação; conceitos de letramento e multiletramento. Metodologicamente, trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa, e os sujeitos de pesquisa foram quinze professores de língua inglesa do Ensino Fundamental II do Município de Resende/RJ. Para coleta de dados, aplicamos um questionário a quinze professores, e, realizamos entrevistas com cinco professores. Os resultados indicam que os professores de língua inglesa do Município de Resende/RJ se sentem despreparados para lidarem com as TDICs em suas aulas. Os resultados obtidos permitem concluir que a Secretaria Municipal de Educação do Município de Resende/RJ precisa investir na formação continuada dos professores, para que eles possam desenvolver habilidades e competências a fim de utilizar com segurança os recursos tecnológicos digitais disponíveis nas escolas.

Abstract: This paper reports a research about the use of Digital Information and Comunication Technologies as a support for the English teacher in the classroom in Elementary School II. The research was motivated by the researcher's observation of the difficulties encountered bu coworkers to carry out activities using the digital Technologies. The objectives of the research are: identify the needs of English teachers in Resende/RJ in relation to the Technologies made avaiable by the city of Resende/RJ (computers, tablets, digital board, pendrive); verify if the training offered by the municipal education networks to teachers to use technological tools such as the internet - educational plataforms and applications avaiable - digital boards, computers, cell phones and tablets, among others, it was eficiente or not; to identify whether teachers often use digital technology resources provided by the city of Resende/RJ in Enclish classes, and how it happens; suggest possible activities to be applied in the classroom, involving Technologies such as computers, tablets, digital boards, cell phones, among other Technologies. The research has as theoretical foundation studies on the changes inthe contemporaneity due to the Technologies and the implications of this for the education; concepts ofliteracy and mult literacy (multiletramento). Methodologically, it is a qualitative and quantitative research, and the research subjects were fifteen English teachers of Elementary School II of Resende/RJ. For the dará collection we applied a questionaire to fifteen teachers, and we conducted interviews with five teachers. The results indicate that Englis teachers of Resende/RJ feel unprepared to deal with digital information and communication Technologies in their classrooms. The obteined results allow to conclude that the municipality of Resende/RJ needs to invest in the continued formation of the teachers, so that they can develop skills and competencies in order to saftly use the digital technology resources avaiable in schools.
