Abstract: | Resumo: As alterações decorrentes do processo de envelhecimento aumentam a probabilidade do desenvolvimento de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis. O objetivo geral do trabalho é comparar a prevalência dos indicadores de doenças crônicas não transmissíveis em idosos. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever os indicadores da saúde do idoso no Brasil, região sudeste e do estado de São Paulo;comparar a prevalência dos indicadores de das principais morbidades em idosos segundo o gênero. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva transversal e observacional de dados secundários do Sistema de Indicadores de Saúde Acompanhamento de Política do Idoso (SISAP). Para o estudo foram selecionadas cinco morbidades: diabetes mellitus, hipertensão arterial, câncer, asma e depressão. As idosas apresentam mais hipertensão arterial, diabetes e a depressão, sendo as diferenças mais expressivas de 9,49%, 3,59% e 9,7%, respectivamente no estado de SP e região sudeste; já os idosos apresentam mais câncer, com a diferença mais expressiva de 6,2%. Diante do apresentado são necessárias ações dos profissionais da área da saúde e dos órgãos públicos relacionados à saúde para que haja uma maior busca por serviços de saúde pela população idosa e melhor conscientização de um envelhecimento saudável. Abstract: The changes resulting from the aging process increase the probability of developing chronic non-communicable diseases. The general objective of the paper is tocompare the prevalence of indicators of chronic non-communicable diseases in the elderly. The objective of this study was to describe the health indicators of the elderly in Brazil, the Southeast region and the state of São Paulo; to compare the prevalence of indicators of the main morbidities in the elderly according to gender.This is a descriptive, cross-sectional and observational research of secondary data from the System of Health Indicators Monitoring Policy for the Elderly (SISAP). Five morbidities were selected for the study: diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, cancer, asthma and depression. Elderly women have more hypertension, diabetes and depression, with the most significant differences being 9.49%, 3.59% and 9.7%, respectively, in the state of SP and the Southeast region; elderly men, on the other hand, have more cancer, with the most expressive difference of 6.2%. In view of the above, actions by health professionals and public health-related agencies are necessary so that there is a greater search for health services by the elderly population and better awareness of healthy aging . |
