Enxertia da berinjela sobre a jurubeba (Solanum paniculatum L.)

Abstract

Resumo: A jurubeba (Solanum paniculatum) pertence à família Solanaceae, planta nativa do Brasil, segundo estudos, já é utilizada como porta-enxerto. Por ser uma planta considerada rústica, haja vista que tem mais resistência a doenças e pragas e com isso a utilização dessa planta como porta-enxerto tem um grande potencial para que seja uma opção para controle da murcha de verticilio. Desta forma, o objetivo do trabalho foi testar a viabilidade da enxertia da berinjela sobre a jurubeba (S. paniculatum). O presente trabalho foi realizado em um ambiente protegido (estufa), localizado no bairro da Freguesia, em Taubaté-SP. Para obtenção do porta-enxerto, os frutos da jurubeba foram ensacados ainda verdes. Após os frutos ficarem maduros, foram colhidos e suas sementes extraídas para serem semeadas. Para a realização do enxerto, foram adquiridas mudas de berinjela 8Nápoli9 em um viveiro da região. E realizado o enxerto do tipo garfagem em fenda cheia. Foram realizados 40 enxertos dentre os quais 19 tiveram boa cicatrização e pegamento e 21 não pegaram. Através dos resultados do enxerto podemos concluir que o objetivo do presente trabalho foi alcançado e para que haja a efetiva certeza do potencial do enxerto será através do plantio e das avaliações em condições de campo.

Abstract: Jurubeba (Solanum paniculatum) belongs to the family Solanaceae, a plant native to Brazil, according to studies, is already used as rootstock. Because it is a plant considered rustic, since it has more resistance to diseases and pests and with this the use of this plant as rootstock has a great potential to be an option for control of verticilium wilt. Thus, the objective of this work was to test the viability of eggplant grafting on jurubeba (S. paniculatum). The present work was carried out in a protected environment (greenhouse), located in the neighborhood of Freguesia, in Taubaté-SP. To obtain the rootstock, the jurubeba fruits were bagged still green. After the fruits were ripe, they were harvested and their seeds extracted to be sown. For the graft, 'Nápoli' eggplant seedlings were acquired in a nursery in the region. And the graft of the type garfagem in a full slit was performed. Forty grafts were performed, among which 19 had good healing and cruising and 21 did not catch. Through the results of the graft we can conclude that the objective of the present study was achieved and for there to be the effective certainty of the potential of the graft will be through planting and evaluations under field conditions.
