A arte visual do espaço urbano : uma proposta de análise linguística-semiótica e de multiletramentos

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa apresenta como tema a arte visual dos espaços urbanos como forma de linguagem e manifestação cultural. A escolha pelo tema é justificada por ser a arte visual um produto da interação discursiva entre o artista e seu contexto sociocultural, bem como um exemplo de como as diferentes formas de expressão cultural podem se entrelaçar com os meios de comunicação contemporâneos, desafiando noções tradicionais de onde a arte pode ser encontrada. A pesquisa está respaldada nas competências da Educação Básica e específicas de linguagem, prescritas na BNCC (Brasil, 2018). Para delimitar o escopo da pesquisa, optou-se por uma análise linguística-semiótica da arte visual e pela produção de documentário sobre a diversidade artística presente nos muros e paredes que fazem parte do contexto sociocultural do aluno. A escolha pela produção desse gênero refere-se à necessidade de aproximar os alunos do contexto tecnológico e da cultura digital em que vivem, estimulando a prática da leitura e da produção de textos multimodais e multissemióticos. Assim, esta pesquisa tem como objetivos analisar os aspectos linguísticos e textuais das obras do artista de rua Banksy e sugerir atividades que permitam aos alunos produzirem um documentário por meio de recursos tecnológicos. A escolha pelas obras do artista como corpus da análise deve-se ao seu reconhecimento mundial como artista de rua, ex-grafiteiro, ativista político e cineasta britânico. A fundamentação está pautada na concepção de linguagem sob a perspectiva backtiniana e como ela se manifesta através da arte e do gênero documentário, bem como nas práticas educacionais relacionadas à leitura e análise semiótica das artes visuais. Essa pesquisa é qualitativa e bibliográfica, tendo como resultado a elaboração de um projeto educacional que visa aprimorar a leitura, análise e produção de textos, além de explorar diversas linguagens e semioses, promovendo os multiletramentos no contexto escolar. Conclui-se que essa proposta poderá ser utilizada no processo de ensino-aprendizagem, tornando as aulas de Língua Portuguesa mais significativas, além de contribuir para a prática da leitura e escrita.

Abstract: This research presents as its theme the visual art of urban spaces as a form of language and cultural manifestation. The choice for the theme is justified because visual art is a product of the discursive interaction between the artist and his sociocultural context, as well as an example of how different forms of cultural expression can intertwine with contemporary media, challenging traditional notions of where art can be found. The research is supported by Basic Education and languagespecific competencies, prescribed in the BNCC (Brazil, 2018). To delimit the scope of the research, we opted for a linguistic-semiotic analysis of visual art and the production of a documentary about the artistic diversity present on the walls that are part of the student's sociocultural context. The choice to produce this genre refers to the need to bring students closer to the technological context and digital culture in which they live, encouraging the practice of reading and producing multimodal and multi-semiotic texts. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the linguistic and textual aspects of the works of street artist Banksy and suggest activities that allow students to produce a documentary using technological resources. The choice of the artist's works as the corpus of analysis is due to his worldwide recognition as a street artist, former graffiti artist, political activist, and British filmmaker. The foundation is based on the conception of language from a backtinian perspective and how it manifests itself through art and the documentary genre, as well as in educational practices related to the reading and semiotic analysis of visual arts. This research is qualitative and bibliographic, resulting in the development of an educational project that aims to improve reading, analysis, and production of texts, in addition to exploring different languages and semiotics, promoting multiliteracies in the school context. It is concluded that this proposal can be used in the teaching-learning process, making Portuguese language classes more meaningful, in addition to contributing to the practice of reading and writing.
