O desenvolvimento do senso crítico no exercido de identificação e escolha de argumentos

Abstract

The Critical thinking development is one of the main objectives present in the National Curriculum Parameters, as it is clear their intention of promoting teaching which is directed to the construction of citizens. Moreover, the work with argumentation is considered an important factor in the exercise of citizenship. We believe that the practice related to the identification or selection of arguments may be an excellent opportunity for the development of critical sense, if the teacher has some theoretical knowledge about the subject and uses an adequate methodology. Thus, The objective of this paper is to offer theoretical explanations and practical suggestions for the development the students' critical capacity on arguments choice or identification in text production.

O desenvolvimento do senso crítico é um dos principais objetivos presentes nos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais, já que neles se torna clara a intenção de promover um ensino voltado para a formação de cidadãos. Além disso, o trabalho com a argumentação é considerado fator relevante para o exercício de cidadania. Acreditamos que a prática relativa à identificação ou seleção de argumentos pode ser uma excelente oportunidade para o desenvolvimento do senso crítico, desde que o professor possua alguns referenciais teóricos sobre o assunto e empregue uma metodologia adequada. Assim sendo, o objetivo deste trabalho é oferecer esclarecimentos teóricos e sugestões práticas de como desenvolver a capacidade crítica do aluno na escolha ou identificação de argumentos na produção de textos.
