Public policies and social environment: An actuation in the Campos Novos da Cunha area [Políticas públicas e socioambiente: Uma atuação no território de Campos Novos de Cunha]

Abstract

The economic interests generates the abusive use of the environment to improve the technological development and the economical and political interests. This situation reflexes in the social environment and affects the rural life styles forms, inciting the desire of consumption and leading the subject efforts to the progress and "development". The urban model has an effect on the farmer's ways of life, since they are socialized by televisive media, whose programs are adequate to the urban life style. By that, their concerns and worries are based on the urbane contemporary molds, with no territory and accelerated by the global necessity corresponding to the cities dinamics. This research experience with the Campos Novos de Cunha, Vale do Paraíba-SP rural community aims to understand, diagnose and interfere on the social environment dynamics, constructing the adequate methodologies for this area.
