dc.description.abstract | The social, political and technological changes occurring presently reflect on the organizations' external and internal environment, and oblige them to constantly search for alternatives and new business opportunities. People management is a differentiating element to the success of the organization, and therefore the companies invest in professionals, preparing them for these tendencies, in order to be able not only to continue in the market, but to become increasingly competitive. It is in this context that career administration offers an important contribution, by stimulating the development of people and organizations. The purpose of this study is to ponder on career management, stressing the importance of ethical behavior as a strategic differential to the organization as well as to the individual. It also seeks to discuss how career management must pursue the convergence between personal projects and expectations, and organizational plans and demands. The results show that ethics is a theme that must be studied, discussed and applied, because it is needed to guide the manner of conducting a business, and that the understanding of human behavior within the organization is vital, because the diversity of shared values influences directly on the behavior and actions of the members of the organization. | en |
