Endometriosis [Endometriose]

Abstract

This study had by purpose to present a revision and critical analysis about the treatment for endometriosis, with emphasis, mainly, on clinical handling of the disease, and compare many available and standardized schemas of clinical treatment. As observed, there is a high prevalence of clinical manifestations of this disease in women with infertility and women with chronic pelvic pain. Pharmacological treatment depends on the extension and severity of disease, patient age and desire to become pregnant. The data and informations related to the effectiveness of the therapeutic approaches described for endometriosis are very controversial and should be reviewed as other clinical studies show more concrete and reliable evidence. © Copyright Moreira Jr. Editora.
