Adoption of model pmbok® in management of costs of project in engineering of telecommunications [Adoção do modelo pmbok® no gerenciamento de custos de projeto em engenharia de telecomunicações]

Abstract

In companies with projects involving resources and deadlines, managing of projects use tools, techniques and skills to manage the activities and staff involved with the PMBOK ®. In this context, the work aims at undergoing a study on the PMBOK ® tool, with emphasis on managing project costs of telecommunications engineering aimed at improvement with business performance, structuring of processes and greater aggressions such as deadlines and costs. An exploratory search was held, bibliography, and documentary case study. It was concluded that management is essential so as to balance the relationship between time, cost and quality, in addition to ensuring the success of the project and expectations of all interested parties. In addition, the management of costs in telecommunication projects, making use of PMBOK ® methodology, generates faster responses for project managers, because information can be readily retrievable/recovered and improved continually, thus enabling a much more effective control and a cycle of continuous improvement.
