Notes of urban growth and the challenge of environmental preservation [Apontamentos do crescimento urbano e o desafio da preservação ambiental]

Abstract

Reflection on the appointment of urban growth and the challenge of environmental preservation is presenting a conceptual analysis of urban growth and development of cities, respecting the environment that surrounds it, has the general objective to understand more about it and how much it can interfere in our day-to-day, we present the Paraiba do Sul River as a natural environment to be exemplified in environmental preservation, since the river is often overlooked, it is proposed to bring out its importance in know it better understand your identity and show how strong he is to the city that surrounds it. The entire study will be addressed on the issue of urban growth across the board, without citing a city as a model. For this article we used the method called exploratory in order to know the concepts of the topics covered. The procedures used for data collection were bibliographic and documentary. Show that there are government policies concerned with sprawl, proposing guidelines to establish a development model to be followed by municipalities. Resulting in a reflection on urban growth and preservation, seeking a balanced relationship.
