O paciente HIV soropositivo nos consultórios odontológicos

Abstract

Resumo: Hipótese do estudo: Este estudo teve sua hipótese fundamentada no comportamento dos cirurgiões-dentistas frente a pacientes soropositivos, e também as lesões bucais que acometem a cavidade oral em pacientes portadores da síndrome da imunodeficiência adquirida. Objetivos: o presente estudo teve como objetivo auxiliar na conduta que o cirurgião-dentista deve ter em relação aos pacientes portadores do HIV, como devem tratá-los e quais manifestações estão presentes na cavidade oral de pacientes imunossuprimidos. Métodos: o método utilizado neste projeto foi revisão de literatura baseado em artigos científicos referente ao assunto, obtidos nas bases de dados: Google Acadêmico, Scielo e Medline. Conclusão: concluímos que os profissionais odontológicos não estão sendo devidamente instruídos para atender pacientes soropositivos, tanto no que se diz sobre ética, biossegurança e manifestações bucais presentes nesses pacientes imunossuprimidos

Abstract: Study hypothesis: This study had its hypothesis based on the behavior of dental surgeons regarding seropositive patients, and also the oral lesions that affect the oral cavity in patients with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome. Objectives: The present study aimed to assist the conduct that the dentist should have in relation to patients with HIV, how they should treat them and what manifestations are present in the oral cavity of these patients. Methods: The method used in this project was a literature review based on scientific articles on the subject, obtained from the Google Academic, Scielo and Medline databases. Conclusion: We conclude that dental professionals are not being properly instructed to treat seropositive patients, regarding ethics, biosecurity and oral manifestations present in these affected patients
