Afecções bucais em pacientes portadores de doença renal crônica

Abstract

Resumo: Os rins têm como função, filtrar o sangue e eliminar substâncias nocivas ao organismo, como amônia e ureia. Eles realizam também, a manutenção do equilíbrio de eletrólitos no corpo, como sódio, potássio, cálcio, magnésio, etc. Quando o órgão perde gradativamente e irreversivelmente suas funções, pode se dizer que o indivíduo desenvolveu a Doença Renal Crônica (DRC). Os fatores de risco para a DRC são: Diabetes mellitus, idade acima de 60 anos, hipertensão arterial, proteína C-reativa elevada, tabagismo, obesidade, colesterol total elevado, baixos níveis de HDL, níveis elevados de LDL, macroalbuminúria, controle glicêmico e como risco não tradicional, a doença periodontal. Essa doença pode trazer reflexos sistemicamente ao indivíduo, onde a boca é um local de múltiplas manifestações. As alterações podem ocorrer no periodonto, dentes, língua e osso das arcadas da face. Este trabalho trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica, no qual foram obtidos um maior número de informações sobre afecções bucais em pacientes portadores de DRC. Foram utilizados um total de 20 artigos, sendo eles de pesquisa de campo e revisão de literatura. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar as alterações orofaciais em pacientes com DRC, expondo o papel importante do profissional da odontologia no tratamento desses indivíduos. É de suma importância, a participação do cirurgião-dentista no tratamento dos pacientes com DRC, trazendo um bem-estar ao mesmo e evitando maiores complicações, que podem agravar a patologia do rim. Mais pesquisas devem ser realizadas no panorama periodontal, com objetivo de expor a relação direta da doença periodontal causando injúrias aos rins.

Abstract: The kidneys have the function of filtering blood and eliminating substances harmful to the body, such as ammonia and urea. They also maintaining the balance of electrolytes in the body, such as sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc. When the body gradually and irrevocably loses its functions, it may be that the individual has developed Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD). The risk factors for CKD are: diabetes mellitus, age over 60, hypertension, C-reactive protein, smoking, obesity, high total cholesterol, low HDL levels, elevated LDL levels, macroalbuminuria, glycemic control, and non-risk periodontal disease. This function can bring reflexes systemically to the individual, where the mouth is a site of manifold manifestations. The changes can occur in the periodontium, the teeth, tongue and bones face. The production of a documentary deals with a bibliographical review, for which a greater number of information were obtained about oral affections in patients with chronic renal disease. A total of 20 articles were used, using field research and bibliographic review. The present work aims to analyze orofacial alterations in patients with CKD, exposing the important role of the dentistry professional in the treatment of these individuals. It is really important, the participation of the dental surgeon in the treatment of patients with CKD, bringing a well-being to it and avoiding greater complications in which they can aggravate the pathology of the kidney. Further research should be performed in the periodontal panorama, aiming to expose the direct relationship of the CKD causing injuries to the kidneys.
