Implantação da ferramenta de qualidade TPM dentro de uma empresa automobilística

Abstract

Resumo: Este trabalho tem como objetivo mostrar a Manutenção Produtiva Total – TPM, que é aplicada em um estudo de caso envolvendo uma grande montadora automobilística, localizada no interior do estado de São Paulo. Em meados de 1999, a empresa em questão deu iniciação ao projeto de implantação da metodologia TPM. Deste então, cada setor da empresa foi se adequando a metodologia ano após ano. Sem utilizar muitas palavras, Manutenção Produtiva Total é um método que melhora o funcionamento de equipamentos, instrumentos e demais maquinários incluindo o empenho de todos os colaboradores da organização, incluindo gestores e gerência. Existem muitos pontos cruciais para o sucesso desta metodologia, porém, se a alta administração não se dedicar e se manter decidida no desenvolvimento do método, a organização não conseguirá ter sucesso na implantação e iniciação do TPM. Em caso de desconfiança, e se não houver total compreensão e convicção de que o TPM é um programa certo para sustentar à alta gerência da empresa, é mais difícil de manter uma atividade a ser desenvolvida durante alguns anos.

Abstract: This paper aims to show the Total Productive Maintenance - TPM, which is applied in a case study involving a large automaker, located in the interior of the state of São Paulo. In mid-1999, the company in question initiated the implementation of the TPM methodology. Since then, each sector of the company has been adapting the methodology year after year. Without using too many words, Total Productive Maintenance is a method that improves the operation of equipment, instruments and other machinery including the commitment of all employees of the organization, including managers and management. There are many crucial points to the success of this methodology, however, if top management does not dedicate itself and remain committed to developing the method, the organization will not succeed in implementing and initiating the TPM. In the case of mistrust, and if there is not complete understanding and conviction that the TPM is a sure program to support the top management of the company, it is more difficult to maintain an activity to be developed for a few years.
