Gênero e escola : precisa ser um tabu?

Abstract

Resumo: Com o objetivo de refletir sobre a identidade da pessoa transgênero na sociedade e na escola, o presente trabalho faz um apanhado de artigos e pesquisas científicas, para oferecer um suporte epistemológico para a discussão sobre o papel de gênero, e como isso afeta a escola, abrindo, também, uma breve discussão sobre escolas mais inclusivas e qual é seu papel na sociedade. A pessoa trans, apresenta uma certa desarmonia entre seu sexo biológico pelo qual se reconhece psicossocialmente, sentindo um conflito interno, tendo uma disforia de gênero. A compreensão do fenômeno estudado exige uma breve explicação sobre as terminologias usadas no âmbito social, sendo algumas com conotações preconceituosas. A presente pesquisa traz a relevância da temática do nome social e do sexo nos registros públicos, para, assim, evitar situações vexatórias e discrepantes entre nome e imagem, para que cada sujeito possa viver em sociedade com dignidade. Neste contexto, na escola, como local de acolhimento e inclusão, faz-se necessária a implementação de políticas públicas para evitar a evasão escolar por parte da pessoa trans e, ao mesmo tempo, uma proposta contínua de formação docente para trabalhar com essa realidade.

Abstract: In order to reflect on the identity of the transgender person in society and at school, the present work is a collection of articles and scientific research, to offer an epistemological support on the discussion of the gender role and how it affects the school, opening also a brief discussion of more inclusive schools and their role in society. The trans person, for presenting a certain disharmony between their biological sex and which recognizes psychosocially, feeling with an internal conflict, having a gender dysphoria. The understanding of the phenomenon studied requires a brief explanation of the terminologies used in the social sphere, some of them with biased connotations. The present research brings the relevance of the theme of the social name and sex in the Public Registers, in order to avoid vexatious and dissimilar situations of name and image, so that it can live in society with dignity. In this context, the school as a place of reception and inclusion makes it necessary to implement public policies to avoid school dropout by the trans person and at the same time a continuous proposal of teacher training to work with this reality.
