Indícios de transcendentalidade em a Hora da estrela, de Clarice Lispector

Abstract

Resumo: A presente monografia tem como tema a presença do transcendental no romance A hora da estrela, de Clarice Lispector. Assim, o objeto de estudo é a obra A hora da estrela, e a definição de transcendental que ampara a análise é a apresentada por Panasiewicz (2013), que define o conceito como aquele que nomeia o sobrenatural, a religiosidade e suas manifestações. Numa sociedade como a brasileira, em que mais da metade da população é fiel a alguma religião, esforços de reflexão sobre transcendental/transcendentalidade se justificam per se. Além dessa justificava contextual, também consideramos relevante propor uma chave de leitura com esse recorte para a obra clariceana, uma vez que se trata de uma das grandes expoentes da literatura brasileira. Considerando-se o exposto, os objetivos desta pesquisa são: 1) apresentar uma breve biografia de Clarice Lispector e uma apresentação de A hora da estrela; 2) apresentar a fundamentação teórica sobre o conceito de transcendental/transcendentalidade adotado para a construção da hipótese de leitura proposta, 3) analisar as alusões ao transcendental em A hora da estrela. A metodologia empregada para o levantamento dos dados foi a da pesquisa bibliográfica, e para a análise dos dados foi a de cunho qualitativo.

Abstract: This monograph explores the presence of the transcendental in the novel The Hour of the Star, by Clarice Lispector. With that, the study subject is the novel The Hour of the Star and the definition of transcendental that supports the analysis and is presented by Panasiewicz (2013), that defines the concept as the one who names the supernatural, the religiousness and its manifestations. In a society like the Brazilian one, in which more than half of the population is faithful to some sort of religion, efforts of reflection over transcendental/transcendentality justify themselves per se. Besides this contextual reasoning, we also find relevant proposing a reading key with this profile to Clarice's work, as it is about one of the greatest representatives of Brazilian literature. Considering the stated, the goals of this research are: 1) to present a brief biography on Clarice Lispector and the novel The Hour of the Star; 2) to present the theoretical foundation of the concept of transcendental/transcendentality assumed for the creation of the hypothesis of proposed reading; 3) to analyse references to the transcendental in the novel. The methodology used for the data gathering was the biographical research, and for the data analysis it was a qualitative nature.
