A importância da linguagem audiovisual como instrumento de auxílio na formação da consciência crítica dos jovens no Ensino Médio

Abstract

Resumo: Este presente trabalho tem como objetivo desmistificar a neutralidade do discurso por meio da análise do filme Homem Comum (Carlos Nader, 2014), a fim de mostrar ao leitor como se constrói o discurso dentro do gênero documentário, e como ele pode ajudar na formação educacional dos jovens do Ensino Médio. Para isso, primeiramente abordarei a questão da não neutralidade do discurso e como isso influencia na proposta original do gênero fílmico documentário. Em seguida, tendo como base o uso do cinema como ferramenta para a educação, discutirei a importância e formas de se trabalhar o documentário no Ensino Médio. Logo após, analisarei o documentário Homem Comum, mostrando o processo de confecção da realidade, e como esse processo (de fabricação da realidade) pode atrapalhar os jovens na leitura do mundo a sua volta. Para isso, foram usados textos e livros de Brait (2012), Fiorin (2014), Napolitano (2010) e Nichols (2008). O resultado foi de que a utilização do cinema como complemento educacional pode ajudar e muito na formação crítica dos alunos do Ensino Médio. Isso permitirá aos jovens compreenderem a importância da palavra e ajudá-los a decodificar uma mensagem, ajudando-os a desvendar o mundo. Também por meio do audiovisual, o jovem poderá materializar o seu cotidiano, sendo visto e ouvido pelos demais. Concluímos que, apesar da educação ainda enfrentar problemas no âmbito da alfabetização e do letramento, uma disciplina que contemple o cinema em sala de aula será benéfica para a formação do pensamento crítico dos jovens brasileiros.

Abstract: This paper aims to demystify the neutrality of discourse through the analysis of the film Homem Comum (Carlos Nader, 2014), in order to show the reader how to construct the discourse within the documentary genre, and how it can help in educational formation of high school youth. For this, I will first address the issue of non-neutrality of discourse and how this influences the original proposal of the documentary film genre. Then, based on the use of cinema as a tool for education, I will discuss the importance and ways of working the documentary in High School. Soon after, I will analyze the documentary Homem Comum showing the process of confection of reality, and how this process (of making reality) can disrupt the young people in the reading of the world around them. For that, texts and books of Brait (2012), Fiorin (2014), Napolitano (2010) and Nichols (2008) were used. The result was that the use of cinema as an educational complement can help much in the critical education of high school students. This will enable young people to understand the importance of the word and help them decode a message, helping them unravel the world. Also through the audiovisual, the young person can materialize their daily life, being seen and heard by others. We conclude that, although education still faces problems in the area of literacy and literacy, a discipline that contemplates cinema in the classroom will be beneficial for the formation of critical thinking of young Brazilians.
