A discriminação racial no futebol brasileiro

Abstract

Resumo: Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo fazer uma breve reflexão sobre as origens do futebol masculino no Brasil como também, ressaltamos a presença dos negros no futebol brasileiro, buscando evidenciar que, mesmo após o fim da escravidão em 1888, os negros ainda continuaram sendo discriminados, nos dias atuais, no futebol brasileiro. Além disso, temos a intenção de refletir sobre as consequências emocionais causadas nos atletas e no público em geral pelo racismo. O trabalho baseou-se em pesquisas bibliográficas tendo como principais autores o jornalista e escritor Mario Filho e o historiador Hilário Franco Júnior e também foi realizada uma pesquisa documental em veículos de ambiente digital. A justificativa da abordagem desse tema é devido ao aumento de casos de racismo registrados nos últimos anos. Fazemos um recorte temporal, a chegada do futebol inglês ao Brasil, discorrendo sobre o primeiro jogo em que se tem registro em São Paulo, como também, os primeiros clubes no Brasil. O profissionalismo no futebol só foi oficializado em 1933 e a formação das associações e federações que seriam responsáveis pelo futebol em 1962. Após a profissionalização do futebol, os jogadores começaram a ser pagos de acordo com o seu nível técnico. Com isso, os clubes começaram a ter uma postura diferentes, sendo cada vez mais aceita a presença de negros e mulatos nos times, o que não significava ainda, que a sociedade elitizada aceitava a sua presença. Relatamos como está se dando o combate ao racismo no século XXI e sobre os atuais casos que ocorreram no Brasil, pois eles têm tido mais repercussões.

Abstract: This research has as objective to make a brief reflection on the origins of the masculine soccer in Brazil as well, we emphasize the presence of the blacks in the Brazilian soccer, trying to show that, even after the end of the slavery in 1888, the blacks still continued to be discriminated, in the current days in Brazilian football. In addition, we intend to reflect on the emotional consequences caused by athletes and the public in general by racism. The work was based on bibliographic research with journalist and writer Mario Filho and historian Hilário Franco Júnior as main authors, and a documentary research was also carried out in digital environment vehicles. The justification for addressing this issue is due to the increase in cases of racism registered in recent years. We make a temporal cut, the arrival of English football in Brazil, discussing the first game in which São Paulo is registered, as well as the first clubs in Brazil. Professionalism in football was only made official in 1933 and the formation of associations and federations that would be responsible for football in 1962. After the professionalization of football, players started to be paid according to their technical level. With that, the clubs started to have a different posture, being more and more accepted the presence of blacks and mulattos in the teams, which did not mean yet, that the elite society accepted its presence. We report how the fight against racism is taking place in the 21st century and the current cases that have occurred in Brazil, as they have had more repercussions.
