Homossexualidade e docência : desafios e tabus

Abstract

Resumo: A escola se constitui um espaço de encontro. Encontros entre indivíduos, encontro entre indivíduo e conhecimento, o que reflete o que é próprio da sociedade. Neste contexto, uma das realidades pouco discutidas, é a relação entre a escola como instituição social e a identidade do docente homossexual. Partindo do pressuposto que existe um tabu no que se refere à discussão da condição sexual do indivíduo na sociedade moderna, principalmente quando este assume um papel de mediador do conhecimento, a presente pesquisa procura responder à questão: Como as atuais pesquisas apresentam a relação entre o docente homossexual e a sociedade? Esta pergunta traz como objetivo sistematizar o conhecimento produzido sobre o tema, identificando a lógica sobre o fenômeno, além de possibilitar a identificação sobre os principais eventos (preconceito, discriminação, segregação) estudados quando se trata do assunto. Para atingir aos objetivos estabelecidos utilizamos de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, que adota como procedimento o trabalho com materiais já produzidos, tais como livros, revistas e trabalhos acadêmicos que procuram explorar o assunto frente à contraposição de ideais e levantamentos já realizados por outros pesquisadores. Constatou-se com a pesquisa, que a relação do docente homossexual com a sociedade é uma questão crítica e divergente em relação à opinião sobre o fenômeno reforçando a ideia de um tabu que não foi quebrado e que divide muitas opiniões em diversos sentidos seja na relação professor-aluno, seja o professor frente à comunidade, e que certamente há muitos desafios a serem enfrentados pelo docente em sua carreira.

Abstract: The school is a meeting place. Meetings between individuals, meeting between individual and knowledge, which reflects what is proper to society. In this context, one of the little discussed realities is the relationship between the school as a social institution and the identity of the homosexual teacher. Based on the assumption that there is a taboo regarding the discussion of the individual's sexual condition in modern society, especially when it assumes a role of mediator of knowledge, this research seeks to answer the question: How do current researches present the relationship between homosexual teacher and society? This question aims to systematize the knowledge produced on the subject, identifying the logic about the phenomenon, and enable the identification of the main events (prejudice, discrimination, segregation) studied when it comes to the subject. To achieve the established objectives we used a bibliographic research, which adopts as a procedure the work with materials already produced, such as books, magazines and academic works that seek to explore the subject against the opposition of ideals and surveys already performed by other researchers. It is with the research, that the relationship of the homosexual teacher with society is a critical and divergent issue in relation to the opinion about the phenomenon reinforcing the idea of a taboo that was not broken and that divides many opinions in several senses either in the teacher-student relationship, or the teacher in front of the community, and that there are certainly many challenges to be faced by the teacher in his career.
