A qualidade de vida do agente estadual de execução penal : estudo no sistema carcerário da região de Imperatriz - MA

Abstract

Resumo: A pesquisa buscou caracterizar a qualidade de vida do agente estadual de execução penal inserido no sistema carcerário da região de Imperatriz – MA e analisar, segundo a percepção destes profissionais, a influência da função exercida em sua qualidade de vida. Especificamente buscou descrever o perfil sociodemográfico destes profissionais, analisando a natureza e as especificidades da atividade exercida, caracterizando a qualidade de vida destes e investigando a relação entre trabalho e qualidade de vida no exercício da atividade de agente estadual de execução penal. A pesquisa permite conhecer e explorar a temática abordada, alcançando resultados que visam contribuir de forma direta com gestão de políticas públicas voltadas para a saúde do servidor público desta categoria e contribuir com novos estudos realizados sobre o tema pesquisado. O estudo foi conduzido por uma abordagem quantitativa de caráter descritivo, sendo realizado por meio de pesquisa de campo com aplicação de um questionário sociodemográfico, que inclui questões sobre a natureza e as especificidades da atividade do agente estadual de execução penal, bem como também, a aplicação do instrumento World Health Organization Quality of Life – WHOQOL-bref. Os instrumentos foram aplicados em numa amostra de 61 (sessenta e um) profissionais que compõem a população desta classe laboral. De acordo com os resultados, 31% dos agentes penitenciários consideram que têm a melhor vida possível. A média de qualidade de vida obtida é de 15,69, distribuída nos domínios físico (16,43%); psicológico (16,41%); social (16,41%); e ambiental (14,14%). Concluiu-se que a qualidade de vida desses profissionais é satisfatória, entretanto, os resultados de insatisfação para os fatores instalações sanitárias do ambiente de trabalho e segurança com a integridade física e psicológica demonstram que os aspectos que mais afetam a qualidade de vida negativamente estão ligados à atividade profissional exercida e ao ambiente de trabalho.

Abstract: The research sought to characterize the quality of life of the state criminal enforcement agent inserted in the prison system in the region of Imperatriz - MA and to analyze, according to the perception of these professionals, the influence of the function exercised on their quality of life. Specifically, it sought to describe the sociodemographic profile of these professionals, analyzing the nature and specificities of the activity performed, characterizing their quality of life and investigating the relationship between work and quality of life in the exercise of the activity of state enforcement agent. The research allows to know and explore the theme addressed, achieving results that aim to directly contribute to the management of public policies aimed at the health of public servants in this category and to contribute to new studies carried out on the researched topic. The study was conducted by a quantitative approach of a descriptive character, being carried out through field research with the application of a sociodemographic questionnaire, which includes questions about the nature and specificities of the activity of the state criminal enforcement agent, as well as the application of the World Health Organization Quality of Life - WHOQOL-bref instrument. The instruments were applied to a sample of 61 (sixty-one) professionals who make up the population of this working class. According to the results, 31% of prison staff believe they have the best possible life. The average quality of life obtained is 15.69, distributed in the physical domains (16.43%); psychological (16.41%); social (16.41%); and environmental (14.14%). It was concluded that the quality of life of these professionals is satisfactory, however, the results of dissatisfaction for the health facilities of the work environment and safety with physical and psychological integrity demonstrate which aspects are most affected by the negative quality of life to the professional activity exercised. and the work environment.
