Representações sociais do trabalho para o aprendiz : um mergulho do adolescente na vida adulta

Abstract

Resumo: Este estudo trouxe como desígnio identificar as representações sociais do trabalho para adolescentes participantes do Programa Aprendizagem. Partiu-se do pressuposto de que o trabalho é uma condição sine qua non ao desenvolvimento humano, e, por conseguinte, estudar as condições de trabalho ainda na adolescência tornou-se fundamental, posto que, as representações sociais formam os sistemas de referências dos indivíduos, as quais pautam suas condutas. Tocante ao referencial teórico-metodológico da pesquisa, utilizou-se como fundo a Teoria das Representações Sociais de Moscovici (1976), além de estabelecer uma interlocução com temas subjacentes à adolescência e ao trabalho. Tratou-se de um estudo realizado por meio de pesquisa exploratória com abordagem híbrida, quali-quantitativa. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram vinte adolescentes, trabalhadores participantes do Programa Aprendizagem, em uma instituição de ensino profissional em uma cidade do Vale do Paraíba Paulista. Foram dois instrumentos utilizados na pesquisa: uma entrevista semiestruturada, por meio da qual granjeou-se identificar as crenças, considerações, atitudes e valores dos sujeitos atinentes ao objeto do estudo, o qual foi tratado com o uso do Software Iramuteq (baseado no trabalho de Bardin sobre a análise de conteúdo); o segundo instrumento foi um questionário com questões fechadas, que perscrutava as condições sociodemográficas e de pertencimento dos jovens pesquisados. Os dados foram tratados pelo sistema Survey, o qual gerou relatórios sistematizados, permitindo identificar nuances sobre a realidade de vida dos sujeitos. Os dados sociodemográficos coletados revelaram que, em geral, os adolescentes participantes do Programa pertencem a famílias de extrato social menos favorecido, com renda de, no máximo, três salários mínimos. Os resultados das entrevistas indicaram que os adolescentes representam a si próprios com conceitos complexos e multifacetados, mormente apresentando uma imagem pejorativa, e ancorada na figura do aprendiz como um escravo. Em outra frente, circunscrita ao tema trabalho, os sujeitos apresentaram uma perspectiva subjetiva, revelando que, para eles, trabalho é sinônimo de responsabilidade, maturidade e experiência.

Abstract: This study aimed to identify the social representations of work for teenagers participating in the Learning Program. Based on the assumption that work is a sine qua non human development condition and therefore studying working conditions still in adolescence is fundamental, since social representations form the reference systems of individuals, which trace their conduct. As a background, the Theory of Social Representations of Moscovici (1976) was used, as well as an interlocution to themes underlying adolescence and work. This was a study conducted through exploratory survey with a hybrid, qualitative-quantitative approach. Those surveyed were 20 working teenagers participating in the Learning Program at a vocational school located in Vale do Paraiba, São Paulo. There were 2 instruments used in the survey, a semi-structured interview, through which it was gained to identify the beliefs, considerations, attitudes and values of the participants related to the object of the study, which was processed using the Iramuteq Software (based on work by Bardin about content analysis); the second instrument was a questionnaire with closed questions searching the sociodemographic and belonging conditions of the young people surveyed, the data was processed with the Survey system, which generated systematized reports of the data allowing to identify nuances of the participants' life reality. The sociodemographic data collected showed that, in general, the teenagers participating in the Learning Program belong to less favored social extract families with an average income of a maximum of three minimum wages. The results of the interviews indicated that the teenagers represent themselves with complex and multifaceted concepts especially presenting a pejorative image anchored in the figure of Apprentice as a slave. On another front, circumscribed to the theme of work, the surveyed present a subjective perspective revealing that for them work is synonymous with responsibility, maturity and experience.
