Heranças intergeracionais e o significado e o uso do dinheiro

Abstract

Resumo: A presente pesquisa de estudo de caso único fundamentou-se na perspectiva do Pensamento Sistêmico Novo-paradigmático. O objetivo geral foi explorar e compreender as possíveis influências das heranças intergeracionais quanto ao significado e uso do dinheiro. A pesquisa foi realizada com três gerações de uma família, em que uma pessoa do gênero feminino de cada geração foi estudada. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: formulário sóciodemográfico, entrevista semiestruturada e genograma, onde foram levantadas e investigadas as formas de relações interacionais intergeracionais apenas quanto ao significado e uso do dinheiro. Os resultados foram divididos em seis categorias, quais sejam, heranças intergeracionais, crenças e valores; atitudes atuais quanto ao uso do dinheiro; fatores que influenciam o significado do dinheiro; trabalho e dinheiro; tempo e dinheiro; gênero e dinheiro. Técnicas qualitativas de análise de conteúdo foram utilizadas para tratamento do material obtido. Resultados revelaram que o aspecto mais significativo foi a repetição de padrões. Foram identificadas as crenças, atitudes e valores que foram transmitidos através das interações intergeracionais para a manutenção destas repetições e do significado do dinheiro, levando em consideração o contexto social, econômico e cultural. Pode-se concluir que o significado do dinheiro, que havia vindo da geração anterior à primeira geração estudada, se manteve nas três gerações, e com intenção anunciada pela terceira de ser transmitido à quarta geração futura. O dinheiro foi significado como um recurso para proporcionar qualidade de vida com experiências e vivências. O valor central encontrado foi a valorização do trabalho como principal meio para se adquirir recursos financeiros.

Abstract: The research of a unique case study was based on the new-paradigmatic perspective of thinking. The main objective was to explore and understand the possible influences of the intergenerational heritages on the meaning and use of the money. The research was developed with three generations of one family, which one female person from each generation was studied. The instruments used were: socio demographic form, semi structured interview and genogram, which the ways of interactional intergenerational relations only related to the meaning and use of the money were investigated. The results were divided into six categories: intergenerational inheritances, beliefs and values; current attitudes related to the use of money; factors that influence the meaning of money; work and money; time and money; gender and money. Qualitative techniques of content analysis were used to treat the obtained material. Results revealed that the most significant aspect was the repetition of patterns. The beliefs, attitudes and values that were transmitted through intergenerational interactions to maintain these repetitions and the meaning of money, taking into account the social, economic and cultural context, were identified. It can be concluded that the meaning of money, which had come from the previous generation to the first generation studied, has remained in the three generations, and as announced by the third to be transmitted to the fourth generation in the future. Money was explained as a resource to provide quality of life with experiences. The central value found was the valorization of work as the main way to acquire financial resources.
