A atenção à saúde do escolar nas trajetórias de professores do Ensino Médio

Abstract

Resumo: Este estudo teve o objetivo de compreender a experiência dos professores do Ensino Médioem relação às situações de atenção à saúde do escolar, vivenciadas nas suas trajetórias profissionais. A pesquisa foi realizada em uma escola estadual de um município do Vale do Paraíba Paulista, fundada em 1938 e que atualmente possui vinte e seis (26) salas, setenta (70) professores e oitocentos e setenta e seis (876) alunos. Dentre os setenta (70) professores que lecionavam na escola foram entrevistados doze (12), sendo que quatro (04) estavam em início de carreira (menos de 10 anos na profissão), cinco (05) em período intermediário (de 10 a 20 anos) e três (03) em final de carreira (mais de 20 anos). A pesquisa, de natureza qualitativa, foi orientada pelo método biográfico-narrativo e realizada por meio de duas (02) entrevistas em profundidade. As narrativas coletadas na primeira entrevista foram transcritas e organizadas em biogramas, em sua primeira versão, os quais orientaram a realização da segunda entrevista, organizada especificamente para cada entrevistado e que gerou a segunda versão desse instrumento. Essa organização integrou a análise dos dados, finalizada mediante a sobreposição da segunda versão dos biogramas, que permitiu identificar e compreender os momentos comuns, marcados pelos incidentes críticos relativos às situações de atenção à saúde do escolar. Os resultados mostraram semelhanças entre os três grupos pesquisados. Os professores iniciantes relataram as mesmas dificuldades que os professores do grupo intermediário e os de final de carreira. Os relatos evidenciaram as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos professores para a atenção à saúde do escolar, em especial as lacunas na formação inicial e continuada. Os entrevistados focalizaram os acontecimentos em saúde nas situações de urgência e emergência. Os professores de Biologia foram considerados aqueles que teriam melhor formação para tratar das questões da saúde do escolar. Os relatos evidenciaram, ainda, a necessidade de discutir a temática e a demanda pela presença de profissionais de saúde na escola, cujo conhecimento e atuação possibilitariam o apoio à equipe escolar na atenção à saúde.

Abstract: This study aimed to understand the experience of high school teachers regarding school healthcare situations experienced in their professional trajectories. The research was carried out in a state school in a municipality of Vale do Paraíba Paulista, founded in 1938 and currently has twenty-six (26) rooms, seventy (70) teachers and eight hundred seventy-six (876) students. Among the seventy (70) teachers who taught at school, twelve (12) were interviewed, four (04) of whom were in their early stages (less than 10 years in the profession), five (05) in the intermediate period (10 to 20 years) and three (03) at the end of the career (more than 20 years). The research, of a qualitative nature, was guided by the biographical-narrative method and carried out through two (02) in-depth interviews. The narratives collected in the first interview were transcribed and organized into biograms, in their first version, which leaded the second interview, organized specifically for each interviewee and generated the second version of this instrument. This organization integrated the analysis of the data, finalized by means of the superposition of the second version of the biograms, that allowed to identify and understand the common moments, marked by the critical incidents related to the healthcare situations of the scholar enviroment. The results showed similarities between the three groups. Beginning teachers reported the same difficulties as teachers in the intermediate and final grade groups. The reports ensured the difficulties faced by the teachers for the healthcare of the school, especially the gaps in initial and continuing education. The interviewees focused on health events in urgency and emergency situations. The Biology teachers were considered the ones who would have had better training to deal with school health issues. The reports also highlighted the need to discuss the theme and the demand for the presence of health professionals in schools, whose knowledge and performance would enable the support of the school staff in healthcare.
