A legislação brasileira e o combate aos maus tratos contra o idoso

Abstract

Resumo: O crescimento da população idosa aparenta ser um obstáculo para um envelhecimento com qualidade e respeito, desta forma a Legislação Brasileira dispõe de muitos meios de proteção para os idosos, mas que nem sempre são vistos e conhecido pela sociedade. Assim o Estado possui meios que visam garantir a dignidade e proteção ao idoso, penalizando aquele que colocar em perigo a integridade, saúde física ou psíquica da pessoa idosa. O objetivo do presente estudo tem por alvo discorrer a forma de combate e proteção que o Estado tem com o idoso e demonstrar que esse tema abordado é tão importante e pouco discutido pela própria sociedade. Portanto fica claro que a desvalorização do Idoso no Brasil há de ser combatida e que a sociedade não acredita na existência dessa devida proteção. Conclui-se então que é necessário que ocorram mudanças nos níveis sociais, inicialmente por parte do governo oferecendo melhores condições de saúde, lazer, entretenimento e mais informação ao idoso, disponibilizando aos mesmos eventos culturais com o intuito de que nesses eventos seja divulgado soluções e qual medida tomar na situação de maus tratos e para a sociedade deve ser feita uma ampliação nas divulgações em mídias, demostrando que a Lei e a proteção a pessoa idosa existe mas passa despercebida por falta de campanhas ou de conhecimento ambos pela sociedade e até mesmo pelo próprio idoso.

Abstract: The growth of the elderly population appears to be an obstacle to aging with quality and respect, thus the Brazilian legislation has many means of protection for the elderly, but which are not always seen and known by society. Thus, the State has means that aim to guarantee the dignity and protection of the elderly, penalizing those who endanger the integrity, physical or mental health of the elderly person. The aim of this study is to discuss the form of combat and protection that the State has with the elderly and demonstrate that this topic is so important and little discussed by society itself. Therefore, it is clear that the devaluation of the Elderly in Brazil must be fought and that society does not believe in the existence of this due protection. It is therefore concluded that changes in social levels need to occur, initially by the government offering better health conditions, leisure, entertainment and more information to the elderly, making available to the same cultural events in order to disseminate solutions and solutions in these events. what action to take in the situation of mistreatment and for society, an expansion in media disclosures should be made, demonstrating that the Law and the protection of the elderly person exists but goes unnoticed due to lack of campaigns or knowledge both by society and even by the elderly himself.
