Narrativas épicas na disciplina de História : as Canções de Gesta "Canção de Rolando" e "Ferrabrás" como recursos didáticos para o ensino de História Medieval

Abstract

Resumo: O ensino de História medieval no Brasil é pautado por obstáculos novos e velhos. A implementação da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) dedica pouco tempo ao estudo do período medieval, porém sua ênfase à história social e cultural abre portas para novos métodos de se pensar e ensinar a história medieval. O objetivo da presente pesquisa é trazer novas abordagens do ensino de história medieval por meio do uso das Canções de Gesta em suas diferentes formas. Para tal fim, foram analisadas as Canções de Gesta "A Canção de Rolando" e "Ferrabrás" relacionando-as aos conteúdos exigidos pela BNCC e identificando perspectivas para o uso dos textos na sala de aula. Por meio da pesquisa, constatou-se que as narrativas da "Canção de Rolando" e de "Ferrabrás" se encontram disponíveis em diferentes formatos, como o livro, o cordel, a HQ e a música, e que o teor fundamentalmente fantástico das Canções de Gesta permite aproximar o aluno do imaginário maravilhoso do medievo. Conclui-se que, embora as Canções de Gesta se apresentem como bons recursos didáticos para o uso em sala de aula, não são utilizadas como recurso didático. Além disso, o presente estudo é exploratório, assim, mais aprofundamentos neste gênero literário e na práxis se fazem necessários.

Abstract: The teaching of medieval history in Brazil is dictated by obstacles both new and old. The new curricular standards known as "Base Nacional Comum Curricular" (BNCC) devotes little time to the study of the medieval period, but its emphasis on social history and cultural history open doors to new methods of thinking and teaching medieval history. This research tries to search for new approaches for teaching medieval history using the french epics known as "chansons de geste" in its different medias. To that end, the chansons de geste "Song of Roland" and "Fierabras" were analyzed and correlated with the required contents of the BNCC in the search of new perspectives of their use on the classroom. Through this research, it was noted that the stories of Roland and Fierabras are available on different medias, such as the narrative, the cordel, the comics and the music, and that the fundamentally fantastic element of the chansons de geste allows the introduction of the marvellous imaginary of the medieval period. We conclude that, although the chanson de geste can be used as pedagogic resources inside the classroom, they are not used as such. Moreover, the present study is exploratory, and further studies of the literary genre and of its practical use are necessary.
