Mulheres acadêmicas e a arquitetura do discurso conciliador : entre a formação profissional e a família.

Abstract

Resumo: O tema desta pesquisa é sobre mulheres acadêmicas que em seus dizeres materializam discursos "conciliatórios", com o intuito de justificar os conflitos entre a família e seus desejos pessoais de superação profissional. Identificamos, nesses dizeres, uma referência implícita ao controle por parte do poder patriarcal que evidencia uma luta constante entre o desejo de superação e as exigências concretas e simbólicas do seu entorno familiar, aspectos que justificam a necessidade de uma abordagem analítica de tais dizeres. Na nossa exposição, o termo "conciliador" refere-se ao tipo de discurso criado pela mulher como sujeito histórico inserido em diversos contextos sociais e pautado pela subjetividade, para justificar seus fracassos, frustrações, desistências ou sucessos e está carregado de referências ao mencionado poder patriarcal que se torna normativo. O nosso objetivo é identificar e analisar nos dizeres das mulheres participantes, 33 depoimentos, os discursos que procuram conciliar e justificar a relação entre a vida acadêmica e os requerimentos familiares, conforme a perspectiva do poder patriarcal, assim como identificar os discursos que permitem reconhecer a forma velada em que o poder patriarcal se manifesta. A abordagem teórica que sustenta a pesquisa é discursiva, mantendo como foco central o poder e o disciplinamento, (FOUCAULT, 2011b [1975]), as formas de subjetivação, (FOUCAULT, 2010 [1984]) e o desejo, (BUTLER, 2010b). A pesquisa se desenvolve dentro do paradigma qualitativo, tendo como recurso para a coleta de dados a elaboração de um fórum online com perguntas abertas em que as participantes brasileiras, voluntariamente, respondem e comentam questões sobre a sua experiência acadêmica. Os resultados revelam diversas realidades na relação que a mulher estabelece com a família, como, por exemplo, a naturalização de que o lugar da mulher é na casa cuidando dos filhos e do cônjuge. Esperamos que esta investigação ofereça bases teóricas relevantes no que se refere aos estudos sobre o discurso da mulher e as suas implicações no contexto brasileiro

Abstract: This paper explores academic women and how their speech materializes "conciliatory" discourses aiming at justifying the conflicts between their families and their personal wishes of professional development. It is possible to identify, in their speech, an implicit reference to patriarchal power that highlights a constant struggle between the wish for advancement and the concrete and symbolical demands of their family environment, aspects that justify the need for an analytical approach to their speech. The term "conciliatory" refers to a type of discourse created by women as historical subjects inserted into different social contexts and guided by subjectivity to justify failures, frustrations, withdrawals or successes and is loaded with references to patriarchal power that has become normative. Our goal is to identify and analyze, in the speech of participation women, 33 depoiments, the discourses that aim at justifying and conciliating the relationship between academic life and the demands of family life, according to the perspective of patriarchal power, as well as identifying discourses that allow us to recognize the vailed manner in which patriarchal power manifests itself. The theoretical approach that supports this paper is discoursive with a central focus on power and disciplining (FOUCAULT, 2011b [1975]), the forms of subjectivation (FOUCAULT, 2010 [1984]), and desire (BUTLER, 2010b). This research was conducted under the qualitative paradigm, resourcing to dada collection through an online forum with open questions in which the brazilian participants voluntarily answer and comment on topics related to their academic research. The results reveal diverse realities in the relationship women stablish with their families, such as the naturalization that a women's place is in the home taking care of their children and husbands. We expect this research to offer relevant theoretical basis to studies about the speech of women and its implications in the Brazilian context.
