Os desafios da conjugalidade na transição para a parentalidade : uma revisão integrativa de literatura Taubaté - SP

Abstract

Resumo: A transição para a parentalidade demarca uma das mais intensas mudanças do ciclo de vida da família. Assim, a presente pesquisa tem como objetivo central identificar e compreender os desafios da relação conjugal frente ao nascimento dos filhos. Para obter essas informações foi utilizado o método de revisão integrativa de literatura, por meio da análise crítica e comparação de dados de pesquisas realizadas nos domínios virtuais acadêmicos e científicos SCIELO, LILACS e PEPSIC sem delimitar ano de publicação. A partir da análise temática dos 25 estudos selecionados, foi possível depreender que no processo de transição para a parentalidade os casais enfrentam inúmeros desafios e ajustes com a chegada dos filhos, os quais revelam os níveis de satisfação conjugal construídos antes da parentalidade. Os maiores impactos à conjugalidade são em contextos de depressão pós-parto, com filhos com doenças crônicas e em casais com dupla carreira. Foram exploradas as expectativas dos casais adotantes, heterossexuais e homoafetivos, sendo este último o que mais desafios enfrentam no processo da parentalidade. No que se refere à compreensão das fronteiras entre o casal e a família de origem, as pesquisas não abordaram. Com isso, identificou-se a necessidade de novos estudos que abordem esta temática de maneira específica e que investiguem amostras mais diversificadas.

Abstract: The parenting transition is responsible for one of the most intense changes in the family life cycle. Thus, this research has as main objective to identify and understand the challenges of the conjugal relation before the birth of the children. In order to obtain this information, the integrative literature method review was used, through the critical analysis and comparison of research data in the academic and scientific virtual domains SCIELO, LILACS and PEPSIC without delimiting the year of publishing. From the 25 selected studies thematic analysis, it was possible to deduce that in the process of transition to parenthood, couples face numerous challenges and adjustments with their children's arrivals, which reveal the levels of marital satisfaction built before parenting. The greatest impacts on conjugality are in contexts of postpartum depression, with children with chronic diseases and in couples with a double career. The expectations of the adoptive, heterosexual and homo affective couples were also explored, and the last one faces challenges in the process of parenting. Regarding the understanding of the boundaries between the couple and the family of origin, the surveys did not address. Therefore, we identified the need for new studies that address this issue in a specific way and investigate more diversified samples.
