Escolhendo a família : da negligência parental à adoção e os impactos nas habilidades sociais

Abstract

Resumo: Vivenciar uma situação de negligência na infância pelos cuidadores responsáveis pode ter diversas consequências no desenvolvimento da criança. Essa pesquisa tem como objetivo geral compreender as habilidades sociais de um indivíduo que passou por situação de negligência parental e que posteriormente foi adotado. Além de: compreender a vivência da situação de negligência parental do indivíduo na infância antes de ser adotado; identificar e compreender as habilidades sociais atuais do indivíduo que vivenciou a negligência parental na infância; identificar e compreender se a vivência da situação de negligência parental na infância dificultou no processo da adoção; identificar e compreender as possíveis relações entre a situação de negligência parental vivida na infância e as dificuldades posteriores no estabelecimento e manutenção saudável de vínculos sociais. Trata -se de uma pesquisa quantitativa e qualitativa. Os instrumentos utilizados foram: Inventário de Habilidades Sociais 2 e entrevista semiestruturada. O estudo contou com a participação de uma pessoa, obtida por conveniência. Os critérios para a escolha do participante foram: estar na faixa etária de 18 a 40 anos, ter vivenciado negligência parental na infância e ter sido adotado. A apuração dos resultado s do IHS do participante foi realizada e analisada de acordo com as normas e regras do inventário. A análise dos dados obtidos na entrevista foi feita por meio de categorização. Os resultados principais achados foram que, em relação à vivência da negligênc ia parental, o participante vivia restrição de ir à escola e violência doméstica, trazendo a ele grande sofrimento. Essa vivência dificultou em seu processo de adoção, não sabendo lidar com o carinho que recebia de seus pais adotivos. Suas habilidades soci ais foram compreendidas como bastante deficientes, em exceção do fator de enfrentamento. Por fim, considera- se que há relações entre a vivência da negligência parental e um repertório de habilidades sociais muito deficiente, cumprindo o problema de pes quisa e a hipótese central.

Abstract: Living neglect in the childhood by responsible caregivers can bring multiple consequences to the kid's development. The mainly goal of this research is to comprehend the social skills of a person that lived parental neglect and then got an adoption. Further goals: comprehend the living of parental neglect in childhood before the adoption; identify and comprehend the actual social skills of a person that have lived parental neglect in childhood; identify and comprehend if living parental neglect in childhood hampered the adoption process; identify and comprehend possible correlations between parental neglect lived in childhood and posterior difficulties on establishing and maintaining healthy social bonds. This research is quantitative and qualitative. The tools used were: Social Skills Inventory 2 and semi-structured interview. This research counted with the participation of one person chosen by convenience. The criteria to the choice of this participant were: be 18 to 40 years old, have lived parental neglect in childhood and then got adopted. The Inventory results counting was made and analyzed according to its standards and rules. The analysis of the data obtained in the interview was made by categorization. The mainly results were that, regarding the living of parental neglect, the participant was hindered to go to school and witnessed domestic violence, resulting in a great suffering. This living brought difficulties to the participant adoption process, not knowing how to deal with the affection given by his adoptive parents. The participant social skills were understood as very deficient, in exception of the self-facing factor. Lastly, it is considered that there are relations between the living of parental neglect and a lacking social skills repertoire, fulfilling the question of this research and its hypothesis.
