Setup e a otimização do desperdício

Abstract

Resumo: O tempo gasto nas trocas de ferramentas é hoje um dos principais inimigos da alta lucratividade no processo produtivo das empresas de pequeno, médio e grande porte. Este tempo, se mal aproveitado, gera fortunas em desperdício para a empresa. Muito se gasta com alternativas e adaptações que seriam a solução para o problema, porém um estudo mais aprofundado não é desenvolvido. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar essas soluções de forma simples e direta e mostrar que mesmo no mais crítico processo, ainda assim há a oportunidade de melhorar. Até alguns anos atrás, a redução do tempo de setup não era nem de longe o principal foco das companhias, porém hoje, com os conceitos do Lean Manufacturing ainda mais em evidência, este assunto tem sido amplamente abordado e verificou-se uma ótima chance de lucro.

Abstract: The time spent on changing the tools is one of the main problems of the high lucrative on the productive process on small, intermediary and large size companies. This time if it is bad used turns into a fortune of waste to the companies. A lot of money is spent with alternatives and adaptations that supposed to be the solution for these problem, although a deeply study is not developed. The objective of this paper is to introduce these solutions on a very simple form and show that even the critical process has the opportunity to improve. Until some years ago, the reduction on the setup time was not even by far the main focus of the companies, but today with the concepts of Lean Manufacturing getting stronger, this theme has been largely discussed and a great chance of gain was checked.
