Cistos curam com o tratamento endodôntico : uma revisão de literatura

Abstract

Resumo: O cisto radicular, também conhecido como cisto perirradicular ou cisto radicular periodontal, é o cisto odontogênico de origem inflamatória de maior ocorrência, principalmente se tratando da mandíbula. Apesar da sua vasta ocorrência,entretanto pouco se faz o exame histológico para confirmar se de fato é o cisto ou um granuloma, a maioria é baseada em sinais e sintomas clínicos. Apesar de acontecer em grande escala, ainda não há consenso entre os profissionais e pesquisadores da área sobre o melhor tratamento a ser seguido. O presente trabalho teve por objetivo através da revisão de literatura discutir os diferentes tratamentos usados atualmente para tratar os cistos radiculares e, desse modo apontar quais seriam as adequadas e mais usadas atualmente. Com base na literatura analisada foi possível concluir que: 1.Frente a dificuldade de estabelecer um diagnóstico preciso sem o histopatológico e a baixa incidência de cistos verdadeiros o tratamento/retratamento endodôntico deve ser inicialmente instituído e na persistência da patologia perirradicular deve-se instituir as cirurgias complementares, realizando o acompanhamento clínico e tomográfico da lesão; 2. Sendo o agente microbiano o principal responsável pela formação e persistência das lesões periapicais, incluindo cistos, estes podem ser curados com o tratamento endodôntico

Abstract: The radicular cyst, also known as periradicular cyst or periodontal radicular cyst, is the most frequent odontogenic cyst of inflammatory origin, especially in the mandible. Despite its wide occurrence, however, little histological examination is done to confirm whether it is in fact the cyst or a granuloma, most of it is based on clinical signs and symptoms. Despite happening on a large scale, there is still no consensus between professional treatments and research in the area about the best to be followed. The present work had for different objectives different from the competing literature the treatments currently used to treat cysts cysts, which are used to differentiate the objectives as more efficient and more modern today. Based on the possible literature, it was possible to establish that: 1. Complementary, using clinical and tomographic monitoring of the lesion; 2. Since the microbial agent is primarily responsible for the formation and treatment of periapical diseases, including cysts, these can be cured with endodontic treatment
