Análise de linguagem : interpretações sobre o divino e o humano em letras de música gospel

Abstract

Resumo: O tema desta pesquisa é "análise de linguagem e avaliação das interpretações construídas na e pela linguagem". E a delimitação do tema é "análise de linguagem: interpretações sobre o divino e o humano em letras de música gospel". A escolha e a delimitação do tema justificam-se pelo papel da linguagem na construção de interpretações dos referentes nela retratados, pela influência dessas interpretações no agir humano e pela divulgação em massa da música gospel, que, como texto, tem veiculado interpretações sobre seus referentes mais recorrentes, que são a figura de Deus, do sagrado e do humano em relação ao sagrado. Diante disso, o objetivo desta pesquisa é identificar e avaliar as interpretações do divino e do humano em letras de música gospel. Para alcançar esse objetivo, esta pesquisa fundamenta-se no panorama histórico sobre a música religiosa, sacra e gospel, nas representações do divino e do humano ao longo da história; nas teses do interacionismo sociodiscursivo sobre o papel da linguagem na construção de interpretações dos objetos tematizados nos textos, bem como o modelo de análise de texto proposto por Jean Paul Bronckart, um dos expoentes do interacionismo sociodiscursivo, para identificar e avaliar essas interpretações. São analisadas as letras de 10 músicas gospel que correspondem à categoria de mais tocadas nos anos 2010 - 2019, segundo dados da plataforma digital Spotify. Os resultados demonstram que a imagem do humano aparece em destaque na maioria dos poemas-canções, sendo caracterizado como herói, vencedor, autossuficiente e destituído da noção de comunidade. O sagrado, entretanto, aparece como coadjuvante. A esse, na maioria das vezes, só são atribuídas funções e não características. O sagrado está a serviço das reivindicações do humano. Conclui-se que essas interpretações reconfiguram uma sociedade consumista e uma época demarcada pelo narcisismo, hedonismo e egoísmo. Conclui-se ainda que depreender e avaliar essas interpretações se faz importante uma vez que elas podem clarificar o agir humano em relação ao outro, seja o transcendente, seja o humano.

Abstract:The theme of this research is "language analysis and evaluation of interpretations built in and by language". And the delimitation of the theme is "language analysis: interpretations of the divine and the human in gospel music lyrics". The choice and delimitation of the theme are justified by the role of language in the construction of interpretations of the referents portrayed in it, the influence of these interpretations on human action and the mass dissemination of gospel music, which, as a text, has conveyed interpretations about its referents most recurrent, which are the figure of God, the sacred and the human in relation to the sacred. Therefore, the objective of this research is to identify and evaluate the interpretations of the divine and the human in gospel music lyrics. To achieve this goal, this research is based on the historical panorama of religious, sacred and gospel music, on the representations of the divine and the human throughout history; in the theses of sociodiscursive interactionism about the role of language in the construction of interpretations of thematized objects in texts, as well as the text analysis model proposed by Jean Paul Bronckart, one of the exponents of sociodiscursive interactionism, to identify and evaluate these interpretations. The lyrics of 10 gospel songs that correspond to the most played category in the years 2010 - 2019 are analyzed, according to data from the Spotify digital platform. The results demonstrate that the image of the human is highlighted in most poem-songs, being characterized as a hero, winner, self-sufficient and devoid of the notion of community. The sacred, however, appears as a supporting role. These, in most cases, are only assigned functions and not characteristics. The sacred is at the service of the claims of the human. It is concluded that these interpretations reconfigure a consumer society and an era marked by narcissism, hedonism and selfishness. It is also concluded that understanding and evaluating these interpretations is important since they can clarify human action in relation to the other, whether the transcendent or the human.
