Projetos pedagógicos de cursos de graduação em enfermagem da região Topama : análise quanto ao gerenciamento dos resíduos dos serviços de saúde

Abstract

Resumo: Os Resíduos dos Serviços de Saúde (RSS) são aqueles cuja origem é resultante de atividades executadas nos diversos serviços de saúde, sejam eles, humanos ou animais. Representam cerca de 2 %do total de resíduos sólidos que são produzidos, no entanto, tem bastante relevância devido ao elevado risco à sociedade, sendo imprescindível que o seu descarte seja realizado corretamente. Um dos profissionais habilitados a planejar e executar o Plano de Gerenciamento de Resíduos de Serviços de Saúde (PGRSS) é o enfermeiro, amparado pela medida nº 303 do Conselho Federal de Enfermagem, sendo indispensável o preparo prévio para tal função. Neste contexto, o presente trabalho objetiva realizar uma pesquisa documental nos Projetos Pedagógicos dos Cursos (PPC's) de graduação em Enfermagem de algumas Universidades da região do Tocantins, Pará e Maranhão (TOPAMA), com ênfase na temática de gerenciamento dos resíduos dos serviços de saúde. Para tanto utilizou-se de pesquisa descritiva de caráter documental cujos dados foram obtidos dos sites dos cursos e/ou universidades enquadradas na pesquisa. A amostra total da pesquisa foi de oito instituições que foram identificadas pela codificação ES (Ensino Superior), enumeradas de 1 a 9. Após análise dos PPC's de cada instituição pode-se notar que o elemento Gerenciamento de Resíduos dos Serviços de Saúde foi identificado nas páginas dos Projetos Pedagógicos de Curso de apenas duas das oito instituições de ensino superior incluídas no estudo. Conclui-se que o enfermeiro tem papel importante no gerenciamento de resíduos dos serviços de saúde, desde o planejamento até a implementação, sendo necessário o conhecimento sobre esta temática desde o processo de formação e enquanto profissionais por meio de processos de educação continuada para atualizar-se quanto ao manejo destes resíduos.

Abstract: Waste from Health Services (RSS) are those whose origin is the result of activities performed in various health services, whether human or animal. They represent a small portion of the total solidwaste produced; however, they are very relevant due to the high risk to society, and it is essential that they are correctly disposed of. One of the professionals qualified to plan and execute the Management Plan for Health Service Waste (PGRSS) is the nurse, supported by the measure 303 of the Federal Council of Nursing, being indispensable the previous preparation for such function. In this context, the present work aims to carry out a documentary research in the Pedagogical Projects of the UndergraduateNursing Courses (PPC's) ofsome Universities in the region of Tocantins, Pará and Maranhão (TOPAMA), with emphasis on the theme of waste management of health services. For this, a descriptive documentary research was used, whose data were obtained from the websites of the courses and/or universities included in the research. The total sample of the research was eight institutions that were identified by the codification ES (Higher Education), numbered 1 to 9. After analyzing the PPCs of each institution, it can be noted that the element of Health Service Waste Management was identified in the pages of the Pedagogical Projects of the Course of only two of the eight higher education institutions included in the study. It is concluded that nurses play an important role in the managementof health services waste, from planning to implementation, being necessary knowledge about this theme since the training process and also as professionals through continuing education processes to update themselves regarding themanagement of this waste.
