Title: The invention of patrimony in Brazil

Abstract: Preservation of Cultural Patrimony as a state policy goes through a new phase in Brazil, considering the role of agencies attached to the tipping material and immaterial goods, as well as a new approach in the processes for this purpose by privileging the debate, education for patrimony and the collective commitment to action to preserve cultural property. This article aims to analyze the process of structuring the equity policy in the country since the 1930s to the present day, revealing the changes in the behavior of multiple agents involved in the process patrimony of cultural goods in Brazil to begin to worry about the education for equity and community involvement in decision making. We will use as a reference the measures taken by the Historical and Artistic Institute (IPHAN) in tipping Sao Luiz do Paraitinga / SP, using primary sources with data collected in semi-structured interviews, literature review and analysis of the data triangulation method.
