Leitura e Produção de gráficos estatístico-matemáticos no ensino de Língua Portuguesa

Abstract

Resumo: O tema desta pesquisa são atividades de leitura e de produção de gráficos estatístico-matemáticos em aulas de Língua Portuguesa, como parte da estrutura composicional dos gêneros discursivos como reportagens, textos de divulgação científica, textos didáticos de disciplinas como Geografia e Ciências. Nos descritores do Sistema de Avaliação da Educação Básica (SAEB) para Língua Portuguesa (BRASIL, 2019), há indicações de exploração de elementos composicionais não verbais, dentre eles gráficos, para aprimoramento das habilidades de leitura e interpretação de gêneros discursivos. A Base Nacional Comum Curricular - BNCC (BRASIL, 2018) propõe práticas leitoras e de produção de gráfico matemático como elemento de gêneros discursivos multissemióticos a partir do 3º ano até o Ensino Médio, em Língua Portuguesa. Como professor, observo que os materiais didáticos de Língua Portuguesa com os quais tenho contato pouco abordam ou não abordam atividades de leitura e interpretação de gráficos estatístico-matemáticos. Dessa forma, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa é propor atividades de leitura e de produção de gráficos estatístico-matemáticos que possam ser incluídas nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa do Ensino Fundamental e do Ensino Médio, para contribuir com o desenvolvimento da competência leitora e escritora dos estudantes com relação a esse tema. Teoricamente, a pesquisa se baseia na abordagem sócio-histórica e multissemiótica de ensino de Língua Portuguesa baseada na perspectiva bakhtiniana, articulada à perspectiva sociocognitiva e dos multiletramentos para a leitura e produção escrita. Tem a BNCC (BRASIL, 2018) como referência sobre habilidades a serem mobilizadas nas atividades propostas para leitura e produção de gráficos estatístico-matemáticos. Metodologicamente, a pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, do tipo bibliográfico. Os resultados demonstraram que a há carência de pesquisas sobre o tema em Linguística Aplicada e que é possível a abordagem dos gráficos estatístico-matemáticos em aulas de Língua Portuguesa com aplicação de metodologia de trabalho que esteja alinha às concepções propostas nesta pesquisa. Conclui-se que a proposição de atividades de leitura e de produção de gráficos estatístico-matemáticos em aulas de Língua Portuguesa, além de ser uma abordagem possível, é um tema que ainda precisa ser explorado. Nesse sentido, esta pesquisa apresenta uma série de estratégias para o desenvolvimento de atividades de leitura e produção que podem ser utilizadas em sala de aula, auxiliar os professores em seu planejamento e prática em uma perspectiva de leitura sociocognitiva, de produção com base na concepção de gênero discursivo e aprimoramento das estratégias de ensino-aprendizagem a partir da pedagogia dos multiletramentos. Promove, portanto, uma contribuição significativa com o campo de estudo da Linguística Aplicada.

Abstract: The theme of this research is the production of graphic structures for mathematical reading activities, as part of the composition of discursive genres such as reports, scientific dissemination texts, didactic texts in subjects such as Geography and Science. In the Basic Education Evaluation System (SAEB) descriptors for Portuguese Language (BRASIL, 2019), there are indications for explorations of non-compositional elements, including graphics, to improve reading and interpretation skills of genres. The National Curricular Common Base - BNCC (BRAZIL, 2018) practical readers and mathematical graphic production as well as multi-optic discursive genres from the 3rd year to high school, in Portuguese. As a teacher, I have contact with Portuguese language teaching materials with which the teaching materials that address or do not have contact with the reading and interpretation of few statistical-mathematical resources. Thus, the research objective is this general activity and reading of production of being statistical-mathematicians that can include Portuguese language classes of Elementary School, to contribute to the competence of the reader to propose and writer of the students in relation to this theme.Theoretically, the research is based on the socio-historical and multisemiotic approach to teaching Portuguese based on the Bakhtinian perspective, articulated to the sociocognitive perspective and multiliteracies for reading and writing. It has the BNCC (BRASIL, 2018) as a reference on skills to be mobilized in the proposed activities for reading and producing statistical mathematical graphs. Methodologically, the research is of a qualitative nature, of the bibliographic type. The results showed that there is a lack of research on the subject in Applied Linguistics and that it is possible to approach statistical-mathematical graphics in Portuguese language classes with the application of a work methodology that is in line with the concepts proposed in this research. It is concluded that the proposition of reading activities and the production of statistical-mathematical graphs in Portuguese language classes, in addition to being a possible approach, is a topic that still needs to be explored. In this sense, this research presents a series of strategies for the development of reading and production activities that can be used in the classroom, helping teachers in their planning and practice in a socio-cognitive reading perspective, of production based on the conception of discursive genre and improvement of teaching-learning strategies based on the pedagogy of multiliteracies. It therefore promotes a significant contribution to the field of study of Applied Linguistics.
